THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLUM PAPER'S COVER OPTIONS
In case you missed the good news, we have added more cover options to our planner and notebook selections. When building your planner or notebook in our website’s builder, step 1 will now allow you to choose between three options for your cover material: synthetic, synthetic with clears, and hardcovers. Below is a breakdown of each option.
SYNTHETIC COVERS
Our synthetic covers are the classic Plum Paper covers you know and love. These original covers are printed on a durable, synthetic material that is waterproof and tear-resistant. They also have a protective coating to protect from scratches and to maintain ink quality. These covers are available for all our planner and notebook sizes and can also be purchased as interchangeable covers.
Synthetic covers can be designed with any of our cover patterns and are customizable. You can customize them by adding text to the center or bottom, putting the year at the top, or even including your own photo to make it truly unique.

SYNTHETIC COVERS WITH CLEARS
This cover option is the same as our Synthetic covers but with added protection. Our clear covers are made of 20 mil clear plastic that is added on top of both the front and back of the planner. The synthetic covers are very durable on their own, but we offer this with the understanding that some prefer the extra durability. By the end of your planner's life, the clear covers will look very loved and scratches may appear on the clears over time.
HARDCOVERS
Our hardcovers are our newest addition to our cover options and can be added for an additional $10. These durable 2.5 mm thick covers feature a Soft-Touch finish and are water-resistant and scratch resistant. The Hardcovers have 16 different non-customizable patterns to choose from and will have Plum Paper written across the front in gold. They are currently available for our coiled A5 and 7x9 planners, undated planners, and coiled notebooks. Hardcovers cannot come as interchangeable, disc punched, or unpunched and are not available for our 12-month Daily Layout due to thickness.
